On September 30, 2010 CNMI successfully passed their Cancer Registry Act!

The Pacific Regional Central Cancer Registry has two new cancer registrars to welcome to the regional team.  Mr. Bradley Ngewakl is the new Cancer Registrar for CNMI who was hired in August 2010 and Ms. Cyneli Petewon was hired in September 2010 as the new Cancer Registrar for Chuuk State Cancer Registry.

June 21, 2010 - The Pacific Center of Excellence in the Elimination of Disparities (Pacific CEED) announces the availability of 2010-2011 Legacy Projects funding to support projects working towards the elimination of disparities in breast and cervical cancer in the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Island jurisdictions and territories (USAPI). The Request for Proposals is now available. The deadline for complete proposals is AUGUST 9, 2010.

June 7-10, 2010 - Mega CCLI Meeting; Los Angeles - Members of the CCPI, CCC Coordinators and members of CCC Coalitions attended the Mega CCLI meeting in Los Angeles along with CCC colleagues from all over the United States.

June 3, 2010 - Pacific CEED Project Evaluation Workshop: Honolulu - Pacific CEED hosted a one day training on project evaluation. The new Project Evaluation Workbook was shared with all participants and guided the sequence and content of the workshop. Representatives from this year's Legacy Projects and Local Projects presented examples of their project evaluation plans and progress as well as selected presentations on program evaluation from several CCC Coordinators. Participants included members of the CCPI, the USAPI CCC Coordinators, 2009-2010 Legacy Projects grantees and 2009-2010 Local Project grantee
